Parks Department

The City of Troy offers 26 parks covering 321 acres of land for public use and recreation.  Please view our "Park Features and Attractions" page for specific details on the amenities offered at each of our various parks.   

Responsibilities


The Park Department is responsible for maintaining all grounds and buildings throughout the parks. This work includes:

  • Mowing and trimming
  • Landscaping and mulching
  • Tree planting, pruning, and removal
  • Maintenance and watering of downtown flowers
  • Routine maintenance of picnic shelters, playgrounds, and buildings
  • Maintenance and preparation of soccer, football, baseball, and softball fields
  • Placement of the "Showmobile" and staging for various concerts and events throughout the Summer
This department is also responsible for the City's Mosquito Control Program. Staff is licensed by the Ohio Department of Agriculture to perform treatments as needed. This program is normally carried out during the months of June through September.
