Function: City Council is
the legislative branch of government. These elected officials

Public Service and Safety

Function: The Director of
Public Service and Safety is the Chief Administrative Officer of
the City of Troy. The office provides administration and
guidance over the operation of all City functions with the
exception of those governed by autonomous entities or under the
direction of elected officials. |
Auditor
Mr. Richard Cultice |
Function:
The Auditors office shall keep an accurate account of all taxes
and assessments, and of all money due to, all receipts and
disbursements by, and of all assets and liabilities of the
municipal corporation, and of all appropriations, including
payroll, made by the legislative authority. The auditor shall,
at the end of each fiscal year, and more often if required,
audit the accounts of the several departments and officers and
shall audit all other accounts in which the municipal
corporation is interested. |
Treasurer

Function:
The treasurer shall be the custodian of
all moneys of the municipal corporation, and shall keep the
moneys in such manner and in such place as is determined by the
legislative authority thereof. He shall pay out money only on
warrants issued by the auditor. |
Law Director

Function:
The Law Director provides legal advice and
support to City Council, the Mayor, the Director of Public
Service and Safety, and all other City functions.
Responsibilities include the review and preparation of legal
documents and to provide representation for the City in civil
legal matters. |

Economic Development

Function: The
economic development function has several purposes: job
creation; job retention; stabilization or increase of the local
tax base; and job diversification. |
Electric

Function: The Electric
Department is responsible for the installation, service, and
maintenance of electrical equipment including
signalized intersections within the corporation limits,
electrical control panels in the well fields, equipment at all
other City owned facilities, and sports lighting equipment,
including score boards |
Engineering

Function:
The Engineering
Division of the City of Troy is responsible for a wide range of
projects throughout the city. The design, planning and
construction of public works projects and the inspection and
review of all projects public and private. |
Fire

Hobart Arena

Hobart Arena is a public venue that
provides for a wide variety of entertainment, sports,
educational, and recreational opportunities for Troy and
surrounding communities. |
Human Resources

Function: The Human
Resource Department provides general Human Resource services for
more than 200 City of Troy employees.
Services: The department provides
administrative support for payroll, insurance, staffing and
safety activities. Personnel records and files are maintained
with the Human Resource office. |
Income Tax

To
provide funds
for the purposes of general municipal operation, maintenance of
equipment, improvement of municipal services and facilities, and
capital improvements; Enforce the Income Tax Ordinance in
a fair and equitable manner.
Services:

taxpayers with compliance issues, educate the public in tax law
compliance, offer local assistance in preparing tax related
documents and collecting tax payments,

Miami Shores Golf Course

Function: Oversees all golf
course operations which includes Ground Maintenance, Golf
Instruction, Golf operations, and Food & Beverage.
Services: Provides Golf instruction for
individual, group, and clinics, a Golf Shop that carries a full
range of golf equipment and golf supplies, a Snack Bar with
Grill, and coordinates Golf Leagues, corporate outings and golf
tournaments. |
MIS

for all IT, GIS, Process Control, and Web services for the City
of Troy
Services: Purchasing and maintenance of all
computers and software applications, development and maintenance
of GIS mapping and related functions, City Web site development

Department is responsible for all law enforcement and criminal
investigation needs of the City of Troy. The Department provides
a variety of classes and services
to the citizens designed to improve public safety through

Recreation

Oversees the programming and operations of the Hobart Arena,
Troy Aquatic Park and City of Troy Recreation Department
Programs.
Services: Coordinates,
handles registrations and schedules City of Troy Sponsored
Recreational programs, coordinates scheduling of City of Troy
Park facilities including park shelter reservations in Troy
Community Park and Duke Park. |
Riverside Cemetery

The Cemetery staff maintains all
administrative, maintenance, and grounds keeping functions of

Street and Solid Waste

The Street Department is responsible for
the year-round maintenance of the streets and alleys in the City
of Troy. Solid Waste duties include residential solid waste
collections, yard waste and brush collections, and nuisance
complaints. |
Troy Aquatic Park

The Aquatic Park provides the public with
a well supervised and supported facility for family recreation
and education through various swimming courses. |
Utility Billing and Collection

Administer customer service contracting for water and sewer
services (including billing and payment processing);
administer billing and collection for miscellaneous billings
(including recycling, bulk water, stormwater fees, weed / lawn

Function:
Water Distribution is responsible
for maintaining, testing, and repairing water supply pipes
buried beneath our city streets. Sewer Maintenance functions
include the maintenance and repair of over 100 miles of sanitary sewer
(6 inches to 42 inches), over 60 miles of storm sewer (6 inches to 60
inches), and all manholes and stormwater catch basins. |
Wastewater Treatment

Function:
Provide wastewater
treatment services for all domestic and industrial customers. |
Water Treatment

Function: Supply safe
drinking water and water for fire protection in adequate amounts
and at adequate pressures.
Services: Municipal water supply management,
treatment (softening), and disinfection; provide for bulk water
sales; perform bacteria lab testing services for area water
systems and private wells. |
