The Electrical Foreman for the City of Troy is Brian Ferree. The Electrical Department has a fulltime staff of three people dedicated to providing support and services to all city departments.

The Electrical Foreman is a licensed electrical contractor with the State of Ohio. All department personnel are certified IMSA Level II Traffic Signal Technicians and belong to several professional organizations.
Services provided by this department include the following:

  • Installation and maintenance of all signalized intersections within the corporation limits of the City of Troy. The only exceptions are the signalized intersections located at I-75 & St. Rt. 41 and I-75 & St. Rt. 55. Those intersections are controlled and maintained by the State of Ohio.
  • Installation and maintenance of electrical control panels in the well fields.
  • Installation and maintenance of electrical controls for the wastewater lift stations.
  • Electrical repair of equipment at the Water and Wastewater facilities including all low voltage and medium voltage equipment.
  • Electrical repair of equipment at City Hall, 3 Fire Stations, Police Department, Cemetery, Hobart Arena, Park Department and Parks, and all other city owned facilities.
  • Installation of banners and American Flags for special events.
  • Maintenance and repair of sports lighting equipment, including score boards.
  • Installation of the annual Christmas lights and decorations in the downtown area.
