On behalf of the Troy Strawberry Festival Committee and the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce I would like to invite you to the 2003 Troy Strawberry Festival.

The dates for this year's festival are June 7-8, 2003 with pre-festival events occurring throughout April and May. We will also have activities on Friday June 6, 2003 on the beautiful downtown square.

This year's festival promises to be fun and exciting. Activities are planned for everyone in the family. We will continue to keep you posted on planned activities so be sure to check our site often.

Friday night activities start with the Opening Ceremonies and the Children's Parade is always a lot of fun to watch. Other activities are Berry Hoops, Big Wheel Races, and the ever-popular Bed Races. Food and game booths will be opened so come on out and have dinner on the square. If that is not enough excitement for you, the Festival will be involved with the Miami County State Bicentennial Bell Casting ceremony starting on Friday evening. Activities are planned for the Miami County courthouse area as well.

Saturday June 7th, the festivities will start off with a world-class parade in beautiful downtown Troy including bands, floats and much more. Following the parade our Miami County nonprofit clubs and organizations will begin selling their famous strawberry culinary delights and our arts and crafts exhibitors will be displaying their premium-handcrafted items.

For the bicycle enthusiast we will also have state championship bike time trials and a bike criterion on Saturday with our traditional bike tour on Sunday morning.

If you enjoy entertainment we have three stages with continuous and free entertainment, which includes Strawberry Golden Couple, Little Miss and Mr Strawberry Pageant, and Diaper Derby. Local, regional and national performers provide a wide range of performances for your pleasure.

Saturday night at 8:00 PM join us at Troy Memorial Stadium for a spectacular concert featuring McGuffey Lane. We are proud to offer this concert FREE for your enjoyment.

Mark your calendars and plan a visit to beautiful Troy, Ohio and the Troy Strawberry Festival. We promise you will want to come back.

Sincerely,
Roberta Jacobs
