Chillin’ on the Great Miami
Sunday
June 6, 2010
12:00pm – 4:00pm On the Great Miami River Levee at the
Troy Strawberry Festival. Come down and learn more about the
environment and culture along the Great Miami River. Fee:
$2.00 per person – Registration and payment on the day of the
event.
Great Miami River
Canoe Trip
Saturday June 19, 2010
Free Registration is required –
Space is limited. Trip departs from Treasure Island
Boathouse. Our guides will take you on a scenic tour of the
Great Miami River. Approximate time of the tour is three hours.

The Mayor’s Adventure
Float
Thursday July 1, 2010

Fee: $5.00 per person
$3.00 per person if
you bring your own canoe or kayak. Register Early –
Space is limited. Meet at the Troy Aquatic Park and we will
bus you up north to the Canoe drop in point. Cookout and swim at
the Troy Aquatic Park after the float. Register at the Troy
Recreation Department at Hobart Arena. Deadline to register is
June 25, 2010. For more information please call the Troy

Clean Sweep of the Great Miami

Terry Purke around the fire at Treasure Island. Registration

Great Miami River Bike Ride
August 7, 2010
9:00am Meet at the Gazebo on the
levee. Park in Hobart Arena’s Parking Lot. Enjoy a morning of
biking and visiting the many merchants in Troy’s Downtown area.
2010 Tri
Troyathlon, the Championship of the Speedy-feet Canoe Triathlon
Series
September 19, 2010 Will consist
of a 2.5 Mile scenic canoe on the Great Miami River. Followed by
a 17 mile bike leg, mostly on country roads north of Troy.
Finishing with a 4 mile run, across the river and along the
Great Miami River. Treasure Island will serve as the main
hub and transitions area for all 3 legs of the event. More
