Miami North River Float June 11 at 9:00 a.m.
Meet at the Troy Marina where you
will be bused up river and gloat back down river returning to
the Marina.
Troy Summer Solstice
Stargaze June 17
The Troy Summer solstice stargaze will be
held at the Hobart Urban Nature Preserve at 1400 Tyrone just off
of Dorset Road, on Friday, June 17th. Meet in the parking lot at
9PM, (sunset). The park includes 82 acres, located in the heart
of Troy. There will be telescopes set up to show the night
wonders. They may include, planets, star groups, constellations,
galaxies and the moon. Members of the Brukner Stillwater
Stargazers astronomy club will be there to guide you and answer
your questions about the night sky, telescopes and MORE! If the
night is too cloudy we may have a substitute night the following
night, Saturday.... same time. This activity is the result of
cooperation of the City, the Miami County Park Department and
the Stillwater Stargazers. Join us and experience the night sky.
Tri-cities Mayors Float June 30 at 6:30 p.m.
Meet at the Troy Marina
where you will be bused to a river entry point down river and
canoe to Tipp City.
Stilllwater-Brukner Float July 9
Meet at the Troy Marina where you will be
bused to the Stillwater River and float down river with an
educational stop at Brukner and then proceed on down river where
you will be picked up and bused back to the marina.
Great Miami River South River Float July 23 at 9:00 a.m.
Meet at the marina where
you will b e bused to a river entry point down river and canoe
on to Tipp City where a bus will await your arrival and return
you to the marina.
