The Wastewater Plant Superintendent for the City

The City of Troy, Ohio Wastewater Treatment Plant
(WWTP) is located at 1400 Dye Mill Rd., Troy, OH 45373. The phone number

The WWTP is a conventional activated sludge plant and
is currently operated in the contact stabilization mode. The WWTP provides
treatment to the industrial and domestic users of water within the City of Troy,
Ohio and the surrounding areas of Miami County. The WWTP treated an average of
5.73 million gallons per day of wastewater in 2001 before discharging the flow
to the Great Miami River.
During 1999-2001, the WWTP completed an
expansion of the secondary clarification process and installed odor control
technology on its biosolids treatment process. Future improvements include
expanding primary clarification and activated sludge aeration processes starting
in late 2005. These improvements will allow the plant to treat an average daily
flow of 9.8 million gallons of wastewater per day.
The WWTP is staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days per
year. The City of Troy currently employs a staff of twelve people who are
dedicated to keeping our surface and ground water safe and protecting one
of the Earth's most valuable resources.
The Troy Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) has submitted the annual
Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) report for calander year 2009 to the Ohio
Environmental Protection Agency. This report is on file at the WWTP and
available for public review.
