Auditor (return)
State Auditor Commendation

Mayor Michael Beamish, State Auditor Mary Taylor, and City of Troy Auditor Richard Cultice

State Auditor Mary Taylor and Auditor Richard Cultice

It is important to note that this award is only given to a very select group.

There are 5,627 Government entities in Ohio which are audited by the Auditor of State. Fewer than five percent of the agencies audited are eligible for the Making Your Tax Dollars Count Award.

To receive the award an entity must:
* Complete and submit a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) within six months of the end of    the fiscal year audited.
* Have a "clean" audit with no findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, single audit findings or questioned costs.
* Have no other financial concerns.

The award is for all Troy employees who work hard each day to achieve accounting excellence.

This is not the first year in which the City of Troy has received an award. For the last seventeen consecutive years Troy has received the prestigious Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association. That's a remarkable record for which the city and the citizens of Troy can be proud.
