August 20, 2007 MINUTES OF COUNCIL A regular session of Troy City Council was convened on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. An invocation was given by Council Member Kendall Members Present: Baker, Douglas, Kendall. Presiding Officer: William F. Lohrer, President of Council Others Present: Michael L. Beamish, Mayor W. McGregor Dixon, Jr., Director of Law After the roll call, Council President Lohrer stated that “It appears that a majority of the members of council is not present and, thus, a quorum of council is not available to conduct business. For purposes of clarification, all matters scheduled for tonight's meeting, including public hearings, shall be bound over to the next scheduled meeting of Council to be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2007. Mr. Lohrer asked if members of Council had any comments. -Mr. Kendall commented that the Mayors Concert held on Aug. 19 was excellent. -On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Troy Mayors Concert, Mrs. Baker thanked the City and City staff for working to see that the concert was moved from the Public Square to the Hobart Arena. Council President Lohrer stated that “under the rules of council and Revised Code Section 731.44, the meeting is adjourned."
