The Troy Fire Department provides Fire Protection and
Emergency Medical Services to the City of Troy and to Concord and Staunton
Townships. Under the direction of Chief Christopher Boehringer, our Firefighter /
Paramedics operate 24 hours a day from three fire stations to respond to any
Emergency.

Station 1
Station 1 is located just South of Downtown at 19 E. Race St. Station 1 was
opened in 1966. This facility houses the majority of our apparatus as well as
the administrative offices. Engine 1,
Aerial Tower 1, Tanker 1,
Grass Truck, and Medic 1
all respond from Station 1. Reserve Medic 4, the Air Trailer, and Rescue Boats
1 and 3 are also kept at Station 1. A Platoon Commander and 5 Firefighter /
Paramedics are assigned each day to Station 1.

Station 2
Station 2 is located North of the Great Miami River at 1528 N. Market St. This
station was opened in 2007.
Engine 2 and Medic 2 respond from this
facility. Rescue Boat 2 is also kept at Station 2. Chief
Boehringer's office is located here and there are three Firefighter
/ paramedics assigned each day to Station 2.

Station 3
Station 3 is located West of I-75 at 40 South Stanfield Rd. This station was
opened in 1995. Engine 3 and
Medic 3 respond from this facility. The Miami County Haz-Mat Response
Vehicle and our Special Rescue Trailer are also kept at Station 3. There are
three Firefighter / Paramedics assigned each day to Station 3.
In 2005 the Troy Fire Department responded to 1249 Fire calls and 3485
Emergency Medical calls. Both of those are record numbers.
In addition to responding to emergencies the Troy Fire
Department also has responsibilities in other areas. Fire Prevention
activities include building inspections, code enforcement, plans review, issuing
permits, underground storage tank inspections, annual testing of our city’s fire
hydrants, and fire investigations. The Public Education Program includes
the following. The Fire Fighter Phil fire safety program is for all
kindergarten through fifth grade students in all Troy Elementary Schools.
This program has been presented every November since 1996. The Fire Safety
Trailer visits all Troy third grade classes in October during Fire prevention
Week.
A Juvenile Fire Setter Program is available to help counsel
those in need.
