The City of Troy, Ohio celebrates Arbor Day 2008, and the 22nd
consecutive year of designation as a Tree City USA city.
An Ohio Buckeye was planted in the City Park in commemoration of Mr.
Ronnie Fair of Fair's Greenhouse. Mr. Fair worked closely with the
Troy City Beautification Committee for many years in the design,
planting, and maintenance of the flowers in the downtown area. |
Mayor Michael Beamish was joined by Ms.
Gareth Johnston, Ms.
Sandra Altler,
Mr. Doug
Tremblay and
Forrester/Foreman Jeremy Drake
in
the dedication ceremony. Students from several Troy elementary
schools participated by providing information on Arbor Day and in
the ceremonial planting of the tree.
