The Solid Waste Foreman for the City of Troy is  Mr. Larry Lewis.

The City of Troy Solid Waste Division office is located in the Central Service & Maintenance Facility at 1400 Experiment Farm Rd., Troy, OH  45373. The phone number is (937) 335-1914. The fax number is (937) 339-0006.

Our office hours are: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM.

The Solid Waste Division is staffed by seven full time and one part time employee. This department is responsible for the following:

  1. Residential solid waste collections.
  2. Residential recycling program.
  3. Yard waste and brush collections.
  4. Nuisance complaints
  5. The Dye Mill Rd. Compost Facility

The Dye Mill Road Facility opens the first week of April and closes the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. The following hours apply during Daylight Savings Time:
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: noon to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday- 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
(closed Wednesdays; hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. after DST)

Troy residents may take grass clippings, leaves, sod, concrete, dirt, rocks, brick, and brush trimmings (not to exceed 1 foot in length).
Proof of Troy residency required.

The Solid Waste Division utilizes four high compaction trash trucks, one small dump truck, a brush chipper, and numerous hand and gas powered tools to provide these services to approximately 7,500 households on a weekly basis. We pride ourselves in providing the most efficient and cost effective services possible.

Holiday Collection Date Changes
Your collection day may change due to holidays recognized by the City.
The changes are always made as follows:

1. There is no change for President's Day or Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
2. All holidays that fall Monday through Friday will result in a one day delay in pickup.
    This even applies to the two-day holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas...there is only
     a one day delay.
3. If the holiday falls on a weekend, there is no change in your pickup schedule.
