The Street Division is responsible for the year-round maintenance of the streets and alleys in the City of Troy. These duties include, but are not limited to:

All Year

1. Streets swept with two sweepers once per two weeks
2. Repair or replacement of roadside berms, guard rails, etc
3. Repair of potholes, sinkholes, and street openings
4. Litter and roadside cleanup
5. Special trash pickup (once/month...approx. 350 tons/year)
6. Maintain Dye Mill Road facility
7. Special projects and festivals (stages, etc.)
8. Maintain Street Division vehicles and equipment

Seasonal

1. Spring & Summer - asphalt, raising manholes, grading, grass cutting
2. Autumn - leaf pickup
3. Winter - snow and ice removal, crack seal program, tree program
