Queen's Pageant

The 2000 Troy Strawberry Festival Queen's Pageant will
be held on Friday, April 28, 2000 in the Troy High School Auditorium.
Fifteen contestants will be vying for the title of Queen for the 24th
annual Troy Strawberry Festival or for a place on the Queen's four member
Court.
Contestants compete for scholarships ranging from $100.00 to $600.00 which are generously donated by Miami County businesses. The sponsors for this year's scholarships are: United Retail Group, Queen; Comfort Inn of Piqua, First Runner-Up; Troy Strawberry Festival, Second Runner-Up; Holiday Inn Express, Third Runner-Up; Pit Stop Printing, Fourth Runner-Up; Dee's Mowing Service, Miss congeniality. |

The Pageant features each contestant performing her
talent, on-stage interviews with the Mistress of Ceremonies, Terry Naas,
and a production number performed by all of the contestants.
Tickets can be purchased at the Troy Strawberry Festival Office
(937-339-7714) or from any contestant for $3.00, or $4.00 at the door the
night of the Pageant. Chairman of the 2000 Queen's Pageant is Claudia
Sloneker and the Choreographer is Tammy Bellamy-Chaney.
