Electrical 

The Electrical Division is dedicated to providing support and services to all City departments. The Electrical Foreman is a licensed electrical contractor with the State of Ohio. All department personnel are certified IMSA Level II Traffic Signal Technicians and belong to several professional organizations.

Services provided by this department include the following:

  • Installation and maintenance of all signalized intersections within the corporation limits of the City of Troy. The only exceptions are the signalized intersections located at I-75 and State Route 41, and I-75 and State Route 55. Those intersections are controlled and maintained by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT)
  • Electrical repair of equipment at City Hall, three Fire Stations, Police Department, Cemetery, Hobart Arena, Park Department and Parks, and all other city-owned facilities
  • Electrical repair of equipment at the Water and Wastewater facilities including all low voltage and medium voltage equipment
  • Installation and maintenance of electrical control panels in the well fields
  • Installation and maintenance of electrical controls for the wastewater lift stations
  • Maintenance and repair of sports lighting equipment, including score boards
  • Installation of banners including American flags for special events
  • Installation of the annual Christmas lights and decorations in the downtown area
