Historical District
The Historic District is an overlay district that is designed to preserve and protect groups of structures that are architecturally or historically significant which have undergone rehabilitation or restoration.  The Planning Commission is the governing body that reviews alterations to properties located within the Historic District.

The Historic District is generally bounded by the Miami River to the north, Clay Street to the east, Canal Street to the South, and Oxford Street to the west.  This area was the perimeter of the City of Troy in 1807 when the State of Ohio named Troy the county seat.
