Our offices are located in the first floor lobby of the city building at 100 S. Market Street and our hours are 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday. You may pay with cash, check, money order or cashier's check. Customers presenting more than 3 bad checks will be suspended from further paying by check. For payments after hours, there is a drop box in the vestibule at the S. Market Street entrance to the building. There are payment envelopes available by the box. We ask that you not put cash in the drop box.
If you want to have your monthly utility payment automatically deducted from your bank account, download the automatic deduction form. You may complete the form, include a voided check *, and deliver to the Billing and Collection Department.
* If you do have have or typically do not use checks, a letter from your bank on their letterhead stating your routing number and account number will be accepted.
Bank On LineIf you use on line banking to pay your water bill, please make sure our 100 S. Market St address is listed to send the payment to. Please allow at least 7 days for the bank to process and mail the payment to us. Your bank is mailing a paper check on your behalf.
If your bill is current: Check, money order or cashier’s check should be made payable to “The City of Troy” and mailed to: 100 S Market St, Troy, OH 45373. Please do not send cash in the mail.
If your bill is delinquent: We strongly recommend that you not mail, but bring deadline bills directly to our office.
Credit & Debit Cards
The City of Troy offers the convenience of using your debit or credit card on line to pay with Master Card, Visa or Discover. A small convenience fee of $2.70 will be added to any bill up to $100. Any bill over $100 will pay a 2.70% convenience fee. The convenience fee is not retained by the city, but is charged by our third party provider to process the transaction.
