Information Technology

Being a core function in this digital age, the Information Technology (IT) Department is responsible for the security, maintenance, purchasing, and development of all technology systems within the City of Troy. Computers, network equipment, mobile devices, and all digital assets fall under the umbrella of the IT department.

There are currently over 200 desktop computers, servers, tablets, and laptops serving all functions of the City of Troy. The IT Department works closely with all City departments to protect your data and work as efficiently as possible.

Geographic Information Systems

Being a technological function that serves all departments within the City, the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) falls under the IT Department. GIS provides for the mapping and utility asset management needs of the City, and continually works to acquire and integrate data that benefits the operation of all City functions.
