Buildings & Utilities Committee                                                                 (Whidden [Chm.], Terwilliger, Twiss)

  1. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding authorizing the Director of Public Service and Safety to advertise for bids and enter into a contract for the replacement of the HVAC heat pump at the Police Department at a cost not to exceed $100,000.

Community & Economic Development Committee                               (Snee [Chm.], Rozell, Twiss)

  1. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding the Planning Commission recommendation to accept the Final Plat of the Fox Harbor Subdivision Section 8 and the acceptance of right-of-way.

  1. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding  accepting easements along Archer Drive associated with the Waco Warehouse.

  1. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding the Planning Commission recommendation of accepting the Revised Final Record Plan of the Halifax Villas Planned Development (PD-R) Phase 3.

 

  1. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding the annexation petition filed for 8.140 acres from Concord Township, the Strayer Farms, Inc. Annexation, located on Washington Road.  To be considered:
  1. Statement of municipal services to be provided to the area proposed for annexation,
  2. Statement of buffering related to incompatible uses,
  3. Acceptance

Consideration of emergency legislation is requested as the City is required to provide the above to the County within 20 days of the filing of the annexation with the County, which was May 24.

 

 

Community Partnerships Committee                                                          (Rozell [Chm.], Whidden, Schweser)

 

  1. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding:
    1. Authorizing the Director of Public Service and Safety to enter into an agreement with Can’t Stop Running Co. related to the Tour de Donut event. (August 27/28)
    2. Authorizing the Director of Public Service and Safety to enter into an agreement with Troy Main Street, Inc. related to the Donut Jam event. (August 27/28).
    3. Authorize a notwithstanding ordinance for both events.

 

 

Finance Committee                                                                                   (Schweser [Chm.], Phillips, Severt)              

  1. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding estimating the aggregate maximum amount of public funds to be awarded as deposits, as provided by the City Auditor, and as required by the ORC to be done every five years.

  1. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding the recommendation of the Loan Review Committee authorizing a subordination agreement for Slimline Surgical Devices, dba Canyon Run Engineering Technologies, Small Business Development Loan to  facilitate commercial improvements for additional improvements.   Consideration of emergency legislation requested.

  1. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding the recommendation of the Loan Review Committee to provide a new $30,000 to Smith’s Boathouse Restaurant, LLC and combine that loan with the balances due on two existing loans so there is just one Small Business Development (SBD) loan in the amount of $188,017.  Consideration of emergency legislation requested.

  1. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding the recommendation of the Loan Review Committee to provide a Business Development (SBD) Revolving Loan Fund in the amount of $100,000 to 107 W Main LLC for funds to assist with the improvements to the building at 107 W. Main Street.  Consideration of emergency legislation requested.

 

Streets & Sidewalks Committee                                                                    (Phillips [Chm.], Schilling, Snee)

  1. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding authorizing the final assessment for Phase 12 of the Sidewalk Repair Program.

  1. Provide a recommendation to Council regarding the recommendation of the Planning Commission to approve the petition to vacate a portion of Arlington Avenue, located west of South Dorset Road.
