During the week of June 4, 2017, the flasher light at North Market Street and Ferguson Drive will be bagged. Following a two to three week period, that light is to be removed and then replaced with a new crossing device known as a Rectangular Rapid-Flashing Beacon (RRFB). A RRFB is currently in place at Heywood School. A RRFB provides a pedestrian activated, high-visibility warning to alert drivers when a pedestrian wants to use the crosswalk.
Calls or concerns during the time the flasher light is bagged can be made to the City’s Central Service and Maintenance Facility at 937-335-1914 between the hours of 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.
