The City of Troy has promoted Jeffrey M. Waite to the rank of Sergeant, effective September 21, 2020.
Sergeant Waite became a member of the Troy Police Department on September 21, 1998. As a member of the Troy Police Department, he has served as an Evidence Technician, Field Training Officer, Crisis Intervention Officer, DARE Instructor, and School Resource Officer.
He is a 1992 graduate of Vandalia- Butler High School. He holds an associate degree in law enforcement from Sinclair Community College and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Ohio University. Sergeant Waite is a 1997 graduate of the Sinclair Police Academy.
Sergeant Waite and his wife Valerie have been married for 23 years. They have two sons, Mason and Aiden, and a daughter, Isabella.
