The City of Troy is proud to serve as partner to Miami County Veterans’ Services in hosting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation's 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit on the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The travelling exhibit will be placed in downtown Troy from September 10 through September 12.
The mobile exhibit was created by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to educate citizens around the United States about the events of September 11, 2001. Housed in an 83-foot tractor trailer, the exhibit includes artifacts such as steel beams from the towers, recordings of first responder radio transmissions, and documentary videos. New York City Fire Department firefighters provide guided tours. Miami County Veterans’ Services has coordinated its visit to Troy, with support from the City, Miami County, and several donors including the Duke Foundation, Kettering Health, Premiere Health, the Robinson Fund, and The Troy Foundation.
The 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit will be placed on West Main Street in front of Courthouse Plaza from Thursday, September 9 to Sunday, September 12. Free tours will be available on Friday, September 10 and Saturday, September 11, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, September 12 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. A sound-off will take place on September 11 at noon, and a memorial service will be held on Courthouse Plaza at 7 p.m.
