Mayor Michael Beamish and the City of Troy, in partnership with the Lincoln Community Center, Partners in Hope, and The Troy Foundation, are pleased to announce the creation of the Troy Carbon Monoxide Detector Program. A designated fund of The Troy Foundation has been established to accept donations, which will be used to purchase carbon monoxide detectors for Troy residents who request one from the Troy Fire Department.
Upon request, members of the Troy Fire Department will deliver a detector, install it, and provide education as to its proper care, use and maintenance. Any Troy resident interested in receiving a detector should contact the Troy Fire Department at (937) 339-0495.
Anyone interested in making a donation should send a check payable to “Troy Carbon Monoxide Detector Fund,” care of The Troy Foundation, 216 West Franklin Street, Troy, Ohio 45373. All donations are tax-deductible.
Please contact Acting Fire Chief Matt Simmons at (937) 335-5678 with any questions.
