At the Troy Rotary Club’s September 6 meeting, Mayor Robin Oda and Councilman Todd Severt recognized City of Troy Administrative Assistant Sue Knight for 52 years of continuous service. Hired in 1970, Mrs. Knight has also been appointed Clerk of City Council since 1973. She has worked under seven mayors, while representing the City on several committees, boards and commissions.
Mrs. Knight was Troy Rotary Club’s featured speaker on September 6th, sharing information about Troy’s Sister City program with Takahashi City, Japan, of which she has been an integral part since its foundation in 1990.
Said Mayor Oda, “It was a pleasure to be invited to help Troy Rotary honor Sue for her many excellent years of service to the city. Her depth of knowledge and recall on city issues make her an invaluable resource for all of us. Her longevity on the job makes her unique in any industry, and her work ethic is enviable. We are lucky to have her on staff!”
