Recreation Board

The Recreation Board equips and operates playgrounds, athletic fields, and other recreation centers, including the Hobart Arena and the Troy Aquatic Park.

Governing Law: The Recreation Board is established in accordance with  Section 931.01 of the Codified Ordinances  and Section 755.14 of the ORC.

Appointment:

• Two members of the Troy City School District's Board of Education, or their designees, serving five-year terms
• Three residents, appointed by the Mayor, serving five-year terms,

Residency:

• Members appointed by the Board of Education shall be residents of the school district making the appointments.
• All other members of the board must reside within the city limits of Troy, Ohio.

Meeting Schedule: The Recreation Board meets at 4:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at Hobart Arena, excepting holidays.
