The City of Troy maintains two cemeteries, Riverside and Rosehill.

Established in 1867, Riverside Cemetery provides traditional burial space as well as a public mausoleum, and many options for those who may be considering cremation. A Veterans Memorial in Riverside Cemetery honors our military men and women.

Rosehill Cemetery is an inactive, historical cemetery with several of Troy and Miami County’s founding families.

Placing benches at graves is no longer advised due to a large number of benches already in the cemetery; each bench hinders mowing and trimming operations. However, if one wishes to place a bench, a foundation supplied by the cemetery is required. Please contact the cemetery office for further details.

The City of Troy will refund only the person or persons who originally purchased burial rights, are listed on the Warranty Deed issued by the City of Troy, and wish to convey those rights back to the City of Troy. Original purchasers wanting to return burial rights to the city should contact the cemetery office at (937) 335-2710 for an initial meeting.
The City of Troy has adopted specific rules and regulations concerning decorations in both Riverside and Rosehill Cemeteries. Wind and theft are other reasons decorations may become missing. All decorations are placed at the risk of the purchaser. Any decorations which do not conform to those rules and regulations, or are damaged from exposure or improper placement, are subject to removal.
