On Wednesday, January 5, 2022, a Fire Department promotional pinning ceremony will recognize newly promoted Platoon Commander Dale S. Thompson. Newly appointed Firefighter Jake Price will also be sworn in. The ceremony will be held at 3:00 pm at Troy Fire Station #12, 1528 N. Market Street.
Platoon Commander Thompson began his career with the Troy Fire Department on March 18, 2007. Prior to his employment with the Troy Fire Department, he was a Covington, Ohio Volunteer Firefighter from 1998 to 2005, and worked seasonally for the Cripple Creek, Colorado Fire Department. Platoon Commander Thompson is an Ohio Certified Level II Firefighter and Paramedic, and he and his wife, Annie, have three children.
