At the July 21 City Council meeting, Mayor Robin Oda announced the winner of the “Look Who Is Recycling” for the second quarter of 2025. Rumpke of Ohio, Inc., the city’s curbside recycling contractor, runs the program as a tool to encourage residential recycling. Awards are given quarterly to City of Troy residents who actively recycle and share their reasons for doing so.

This quarter’s winner is Lori Barnett of Beekman Drive, along with her family.  Lori wrote, “Recycling is better than throwing it in a landfill! If possible, recycled items become something else again and again. Pretty cool to do–it's better for everyone and the environment.”
