At the December 15 Troy City Council meeting, Council unanimously approved a recommendation from Troy’s Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) to renew the lease agreement for Smith’s Boathouse Restaurant, located at 439 North Elm Street at Treasure Island Park. The restaurant has operated out of the City-owned building since 2016. Troy’s CIC, a nonprofit development corporation, has partnered with the City of Troy and Smith’s Boathouse under a lease agreement since the restaurant’s opening.
Mayor Robin Oda said, "We are pleased to see the partnership with Smith's Boathouse Restaurant at Treasure Island continuing throughout the next several years. Their presence in the community provides a wonderful place for residents and guests to dine and enjoy delicious food. We wish them much continued success!"
