With heavy rains over the last 72 hours and a river surge of over 9 feet reported by the Miami Conservancy District, our system is running near or at capacity. City staff are aware of manholes bubbling water in the roadways.
More rain is expected today and the Miami Conservancy District notes that this event has the potential to be a “top five” recorded event since 1922. Please drive carefully around ponded areas as we continue to monitor the situation.
